Rose McCan
Rose covers the genres of Irish folk, dialect pop and almost everything in between. She writes her own songs/tunes in the Irish folk style, mixes genres and creates unusual covers (such as Danny Boy or The Wild Rover in Swiss dialect). She also loves variety on stage. She likes to accompany herself with mandola and guitar and works on her Irish frame drum (bodhran) at ‘Irish Sessions’.
Ros Rain
Rose is now also exploring the pop world and expanding her musical horizons as Ros Rain.
Her ‘pop apprenticeship’ (as she calls her genre excursion) is already well advanced. Her first single was released in February 2024 and she plans to release her debut album in February 2026 - as a master's thesis, so to speak.
SaitWind
Irish folk duo from the canton of Zurich that is currently being formed and loves many different facets of Irish folk. From traditional and modern session tunes and songs to new arrangements and original compositions in Irish folk style to Irish popular songs in Swiss German.

Trousers of Kilkenny
The "Trousers" play mainly Irish traditionals, but also original compositions in Irish folk style. They love to inspire their audience to dance and dream with varied rhythms and melodies.

"Stelldichein"
A few times a year, Rose invites other songwriters from other genres to unamplified co-concerts at the Bistro Alte Kaserne in Winterthur. Only original compositions or extremly unusual covers are presented.

Irish sessions
Before and after the Celtic concerts, concert-goers are offered a touch of Irish pub atmosphere. As concert musicians often join our Irish Session after the concerts (often world-famous greats), such evenings remain unforgettable.

Slow sessions
This slow lesson is not a sheet session, but a closed Irish session at a cosy pace. We meet 4 times a year and play from a fixed playlist (so you can practise at home if you like).
The first public slow session will take place in November 2025 in the bistro of the Alte Kaserne in Winterthur.
For those who are interested:
"The formation and management of a trio, which had evolved from the music session scene, will stay forever in my memory. Sadly Joel, a flute player with many talents, passed away unexpectedly in early 2020. He inspires me even today."
